BTS members boast a variety of hair colors. While some members, such as Jimin, have signature hues such as orange or mint green locks, others also boast unexpected hues. Jin claimed in a VLive broadcast that BigHit staff tried to coax him into turning his natural dark locks black; however, he refused. Jin was determined to maintain his dark hue!
Purple Hair
Purple hair can be an eye-catching statement of individuality and individual style. Perfect for casual use or special events, its vibrant hue will accentuate both cool undertones in skin tone and your eyes for added emphasis. Try a light purple shade like dusty lilac for a soft pastel effect. However, light colors like this require additional maintenance; frequent visits to your stylist will be needed to keep them vibrant. Also, make sure that you use color-safe shampoo and sulfate-free conditioner. If you want something with more drama, try a dark blue to purple ombre on wavy medium hair – this style works beautifully casually and professionally!
Red Hair
Red hair stands out, from vivid scarlet hues to vibrant coppers; its vividness stands out against any skin tone and is very flattering on any complexion. November 5 is National Love Your Red hair Day, and many people celebrate by coloring their locks red for the season. BTS members have explored shades of red during their career: Jimin’s coral hair in Run, Suga’s midnight blue in Love Yourself: Her, and J-Hope twice during DNA and MAMA Japan 2018. ARMY enjoys seeing their favorite boys with peach or coral hair; it gives them an eye-catching appearance! Furthermore, they appreciate when Suga dyes his dark green locks to add mystery and depth. This look always fits him aesthetically as well.
Orange Hair
Orange hair stands out in an elegant yet striking manner. Perfect for anyone wanting to stand out, its vibrant hues exude passion and excite people looking to make dramatic changes. In anime, characters with orange hair tend to take on red characteristics while possessing some of the goofiness or innocence associated with blondes – like Ichigo from Bleach, Hikaru and Kaoru from Ouron Host Club, and Shirley Fenette from Code Geass as examples. Bleaching can often leave your hair looking orange, depending on how it was treated or dyed. To restore its original shade and make it much more flattering, toning shampoos containing blue or purple pigments may help neutralize orange and yellow tones, creating an appealing shade for your hair.
Pink Hair
Pink is an inviting hue that symbolizes romance and innocence. It often appears in anime characters that depict female protagonists with pink hair as daydreamers with a romantic outlook on life and child-like characteristics that help them connect to those around them. Effie Trinket from Hunger Games is another pink-haired heroine demonstrating that true happiness comes from helping others. At the same time, Madoka Kaname from anime is pure of heart and too goodhearted to ever hurt anyone. Whether pastel pink for summertime or an eye-catching magenta or cerise hue, consult your stylist on which shade best suits you. Elena suggests using a color depositing conditioner and Olaplex between salon visits to maintain pigment. In addition, replace rubber bands with soft scrunchies to avoid hair breakage and damage.
Blonde Hair
Blonde hair is a light shade with various tones. Most commonly achieved through bleaching with natural or synthetic dyes, but an at-home kit may also suffice. Strawberry blonde is one of the most beloved shades, featuring soft reddish tones that complement pearly complexions beautifully. Platinum blonde is another favored blond hue, particularly for those with fair skin tones. This bright hue can be worn as a full head of hair or to highlight darker or lighter tones in your locks. If you have blonde hair, use sulfate-free shampoos to prevent dryness and brassiness in your locks. A purple conditioner should also be applied once every week to keep cool-toned locks looking their best.
